ARORA HOTEL GATWICK/CRAWLEY'S GENERAL MANAGER WILL BE RUNNING VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON 2011
Jan Lensen, General Manager of the Arora Hotel Gatwick/Crawley is dusting off his clogs and training hard ready to take part in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 17th April 2011.
Jan will take to the streets of London in support of Sense International, a leading global charity which works in partnership to provide services and raise awareness of the needs of deaf blind people and their families so they can connect, participate and contribute to their communities.
Although he has never run a marathon before, Jan has been training hard for the last six months and hopes to pass the finish line in less than four hours. He commented on his blog “One (Monday!) morning, I decided that I would "do the marathon" and would do it properly. This meant joining a club, getting a training schedule, buying kit etc. So, training started back in October and I still haven't given in!”
Jan will join another 35,000 participants to run the over 26.3-mile (42-kilometre) race which is now in its thirty-first year.
