Arora Hotels Appoint Regional General Manager

Leading independent hotel group, Arora Hotels, a division of the Arora Group, has today announced the appointment of Peter Beckwith as Regional General Manager, a new role within the group.

With over 25 years’ experience in senior hotel management, Beckwith will be responsible for Arora’s hotels in the Gatwick region including the 518-room Sofitel London Gatwick, the 432-room Arora Hotel Gatwick/Crawley and the management contract of the 821-room Hilton London Gatwick following its recent acquisition by the Arora Group in April 2017.  As well as overseeing their Gatwick hotels, Beckwith will also take on the role of General Manager at Arora’s flagship hotel, the 453-room InterContinental London – The O2. Beckwith will be based at the InterContinental London – The O2 and report directly to the Arora Group Board of Directors.

Arora Group’s Managing Director, Guy Morris, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Arora team in such a pivotal role as we look to further strengthen and expand our portfolio.  With the recent acquisition of the lease of the Hilton London Gatwick at the South Terminal taking us to nearly 1,800 rooms in the Gatwick region, we have taken the opportunity to conduct a group-wide restructure in order to manage our growing portfolio and facilitate multiple projects under development”.

Beckwith joins Arora Hotels from his role as Area General Manager London for Hilton where he was responsible for six London properties after nearly ten years with Hilton Worldwide. Beckwith began his career with Hilton as General Manager in 2007 prior to spending 15 years with IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) in various management positions both in the UK and overseas.
