ARORA HOTELS DONATES OVER 100 PIECES TO POST RIOTING CHARITIES

Employees at Arora Hotels have contributed to the collections of many donations for those affected by the recent disturbances throughout the country.

Within a week of the riots in England, over a hundred items were collected by employees from the Arora Hotel Heathrow, Arora Park Heathrow and the Sofitel London Heathrow – owned and operated by Arora Hotels.

The collection was organised by the Human Resources team to help people who were left homeless in the North London areas; with first necessity items collected including toiletries, blankets and towels as well as baby food and toddlers clothes. Anne Davey, Human Resources Director for the Arora Hotels Group, stated: “I was very proud of the Arora Team who worked together to collect items that would help the victims of the riots through this difficult time in their life. It is these simple acts of kindness that will help to rebuild the communities that have been most affected”.

In addition to the generosity of the Arora Hotels employees, the chauffeur company Travel Deal Ltd kindly offered to deliver the donations, on a complimentary basis, to a Haringey Council-run shelter in Tottenham.

Myrjem, who works in the Meetings & Events team at Sofitel London Heathrow, said: “I would have liked to have gone and helped clean up the streets but I was working on those days. So when I heard of this initiative and the fact that everything was already taken care of, all I had to do was bring a few toddlers clothes and toys to my work place. That way I felt that I was also part of the clean up events.”
