ARORA HOTELS TO BACK TOP JOCKEY AND TRAINER AWARDS

Arora Hotels are the new sponsors of the coveted top trainer and jockey awards at Royal Ascot, won last year by Johnny Murtagh and Barry Hills respectively.

Johnny Murtagh will wear the leading jockeys’ armband for the Queen Anne Stakes, handing it over after the opening race of Royal Ascot unless he wins the race of course. The armband will once again identify to racegoers and viewers at home who is heading the table at any time.

For the first time, in conjunction with Arora Hotels, there will be a press tipping competition at this year’s Royal Meeting.

Media in all areas will be given a form to complete on the opening day of Royal Ascot, Tuesday 15th June, asking them to predict the winners of all seven Group One races at Royal Ascot. There will be two tie break questions, the first being to identify the winner of the Arora Hotels Top Jockey Competition and the second to name the trainer who tops the table at the end of the week.

The prize is for an overnight stay for two guests at either Sofitel London Heathrow at Terminal 5 or Sofitel London Gatwick, directly connected to the North Terminal, two properties which are owned and operated by Arora Hotels.

Arora Hotels has been selected as the preferred partner to build and operate the 200 bedroom four star Royal Ascot Hotel, to be located on the High Street opposite the racecourse.
