The Arora Group (“Arora” or the “Group”) is pleased to announce that as part of its ongoing strategy to focus on larger assets with high revenue potential, it has been granted planning permission to develop a new office block at London Heathrow with 85,000sq ft of CAT A office space.

Arora has a strong presence in the Heathrow area, including two existing World Business Centre buildings under its management as well as the Compass Centre, which is Heathrow Airport’s HQ. This development is another opportunity for the group to dovetail its specialisms across the construction, property and airport sectors providing multiple synergies for the group and developing a best in class facility. It will also build on its deep understanding of the area and its construction division, Grove Development’s, long-term relationships with local businesses at the development stage.

This announcement follows Arora Group announcements earlier this year regarding the development of two new hotels, directly connected to London Heathrow Terminal 4 – the Crowne Plaza London - Heathrow Terminal 4 and Holiday Inn Express London - Heathrow Terminal 4, the purchase of the franchise and the occupational lease of Hilton London Stansted, and the opening of the landmark InterContinental London - The O2.  With these developments and on top of managing over 835,000 sqft of office space, the Arora Group has 8 hotels with 3,200 bedrooms and 2,300,000 sqft of hotel property in the UK.

Surinder Arora, Founder and Chairman of the Arora Group said:

“The Arora Group is constantly looking to build on our existing capabilities and take on opportunities where we can see significant upside from leveraging the synergies across our business divisions.

“With WBC4, we are building on our existing geographical advantage in the Heathrow area and are delighted that Arora’s Grove Developments business is involved at this early stage of the project’s delivery as the group upholds it's end-to-end development capability.

“It is still early days in this project, which is set to be the first stand-alone office building to be built in Heathrow since 2001, however we are much encouraged to have reached this key milestone for the Group.”
