La Belle poque Launches a Seychelles Inspired Honeymoon Menu

3 AA rosette winning restaurant, La Belle Époque at Sofitel London Heathrow has launched a limited-edition menu, inspired by honeymoon hotspot, the Seychelles, ahead of March 2018 when British Airways moves to twice weekly flights to the Seychelles.

Widely recognised as the most romantic island in the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles is a popular destination for honeymooning couples, many of whom fly to the paradise island out of Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

The Sofitel London Heathrow hotel is very popular with honeymooning couples and the menu, influenced by the island’s local cuisine and the Indian Ocean, will allow them to start their honeymoon with a taste of the exotic ingredients that they’ll enjoy on their holiday.

New dishes include seared tuna loin with cucumber kimchi and dill, pan-fried halibut with curried coconut velouté and grilled Puntarella, roasted and smoked fillet of beef with miso glazed broccoli and pineapple roasted with pink peppercorn and coconut accompanied by kaffir lime sorbet and coconut marshmallow.

Head Chef Mayur Nagerale commented: “The menu features vibrant spices, exquisite fish and tropical fruits, all of which are popular produce in the beautiful Seychelles. We’ve added a French Asian twist to the menu, in keeping with the restaurant’s ethos which works really well with the produce.”

Chef Mayur added: “We are looking forward to welcoming guests to the restaurant for a pre-holiday meal; it’s the perfect way to start of their honeymoon or, for those not heading to such sunny climes, to enjoy a taste of somewhere more exotic. We’ve included the option to add Champagne, as well as a paired wine flight, making the experience extra special, and a great way to begin the celebrations.”

La Belle Époque is the only 3 AA rosette winning restaurant in the Hounslow area. With warmly-lit booths, charcoal leather banquette seating and rich plum-coloured fabrics, the restaurant’s bold decor provides a contrasting atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Guests have the option to hire a private dining space – Salon Privé – that can cater for 20 guests. In addition, the Chef’s Table, with a window view into the kitchen, can cater for up to 10 guests; both options are ideal for private and corporate functions.

The restaurant is located in Sofitel London Heathrow which is directly connected to London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 by a covered walkway and is just 5 minutes’ drive from both the M25 and the M4, making it an ideal destination for food-lovers living in Hounslow, West London and surrounding areas.

The hotel features 605 spacious guest rooms including 27 suites and extensive conference and events space - including a purpose-built auditorium - accommodating up to 1,300 delegates in its largest function room.
