Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of the Arora Group, and Sanjay Arora, director of the Arora Group, met with key employees of Sofitel London Heathrow this week to celebrate the hotel’s tenth birthday. The hotel, which is owned and operated by the Arora Group, remainsthe only luxury hotel directly connected to a London Heathrow airport terminal.
Since opening in July 2008,the 605-room hotel has served over 6 million cups of coffee, more than4 million dinners,made almost 1.7million bedroom bookings for 2.2 million people, and hosted over 30,000 events in its suite of meetings and events facilities, including the 1,300-person capacity Arora Suite.

Many employees have been with the hotel since the beginning, including the head housekeeper, Lidia Wiatr, who said: “I’m delighted to be celebrating the hotel’s tenth birthday. I am very proud to be part of the team and look forward to many more enjoyable years here.”
