Dark Chocolate Terrine, only at La Belle Epoque
La Belle Époque, Sofitel London Heathrow’s 3 AA rosette winning restaurant, has launched its new spring menu for 2017.
Head Chef Mayur Nagarale has created a menu that takes the restaurant’s classic French influence and expertly blends it with light and fresh South Asian spicing and the finest British produce. New dishes for the season include herb crusted monkfish fillet with Dorset crab, Thai spiced wild mushroom pie and assiette of lamb.
Seasonal, British-sourced ingredients dominate the menu, with elegant, colourful plating adding an additional important sensory dimension. Chef Mayur commented: “spring is such an exciting season for the team in our kitchen, with a raft of light, fresh tastes, fragrances and vibrant colours serving as inspiration for a menu using the best produce nature’s larder has to offer. Our menu for the season has been designed to showcase these exceptional ingredients to the very best effect.”
Highlights from the menu include poached fillet of hake and Colchester oyster, fennel and butter milk; salad of ewe’s cheese and assorted vegetables, walnut and raisin dressing; roasted breast of Aylesbury duck, confit leg angolotti, roasted squash and galangal scented jus; herb crusted monkfish fillet with Dorset crab, broccoli puree and crab bisque; humble carrot and walnut cake, carrot marmalade and coffee ice cream and dark chocolate terrine, orange and elderflower.
La Belle Époque is the only 3 AA rosette winning restaurant in the Hounslow area. With warmly-lit booths, charcoal leather banquette seating and rich plum-coloured fabrics, the restaurant’s bold and enveloping decor provides a contrasting atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Guests have the option to hire a private dining space – Salon Privé – that can cater for 20 guests. In addition the Chef’s Table with a window view into the kitchen can cater for up to 10 guests; both options are ideal for private and corporate functions.
The restaurant is located in Sofitel London Heathrow which is directly connected to London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 by a covered walkway and is just 5 minutes’ drive from both the M25 and the M4. The hotel features 605 spacious guest rooms including 27 suites and extensive conference and events space - including a purpose built auditorium - accommodating up to 1,300 delegates in its largest function room.
La Belle Époque sits alongside the Champagne Bar, Vivre, boasting one rosette which offers a hot wok, deli, grill and pizzas and the Tea 5 Salon serving traditional afternoon tea seven days a week. Guests can also enjoy Sphere Bar & Lounge and a 24-hour gym and luxurious day Spa featuring five treatment rooms, steam, sauna and high tech Vitality pool. Additional services at the hotel include Park, Stay & Fly packages offering up to 15 days parking, 24-hour concierge, 24-hour room service, dry-cleaning and same day laundry alongside a stay.
