Surinder Arora awarded CEO of the Year at the UK Private Business Awards

The Arora Group (“Arora” or the “Group”) is pleased to announce that its Founder and Chairman, Surinder Arora has been awarded “CEO of the Year” at the UK Private Business Awards 2016, sponsored by PwC.

The UK Private Business Awards have been running since 2011, and are positioned to recognise success and achievement within the UK’s private business community.

Surinder’s award as CEO of the Year follows on from a particularly successful period for the Group, having undertaken a restructuring in 2015, through which the Group was organised into three distinct operating divisions: Hotels, Property and Development. Each segment has been expanded to support the Company’s extensive project pipeline.

Surinder Arora, Founder and Chairman of the Arora Group said:

“It is a real honour to accept this award, on behalf of the Arora Group. Having founded the Group in 1999, it is incredibly rewarding to see the progress we have made, 17 years later, owning and managing a diverse portfolio of assets across key UK business locations.

“I feel immensely proud of the Arora Group, which has become known for meticulous end-to-end project delivery and as a partner of choice for some of the world’s most recognisable brands.

“For me, particular highlights this year have included the opening of the InterContinental London – the O2 hotel and the residential Arora Tower in Greenwich, and the granting of planning permission for a hotel directly connected to the Queen’s Terminal at Heathrow, which will complement our existing Sofitel London Heathrow hotel that is directly connected to Terminal 5.

“Ultimately, I believe that we should always treat our guests like royalty and our staff like family and I owe huge thanks to my wonderful family, and the more than 2000 colleagues at Arora Group, for supporting our journey as a Company, up to this point and into the future.”
