The Arora Group (“Arora” or the “Group”) is pleased to announce that its Founder and Chairman, Surinder Arora has been selected by a panel of judges for the leadership in corporate responsibility category.

The Group has also dedicated significant resources to a holistic and measurable integration of its social responsibility in order to drive economic, cultural and social value and benefits. Under Surinder’s management, the Group cascades its values through the organisation: Corporate citizenship is translated into our hotels and individual team members actively becoming involved in and engaged with their local communities; The Arora Charity Foundation, founded by Surinder Arora oversees and administers the company's charitable activities; and The Arora Ball which has been run for the last two successive years has raised in excess of £1.2m for nominated charities.  The next Arora Ball is in Autumn 2016.

This recognition follows on from a period of distinction for the Group, having undertaken a restructuring in 2015 whereby the group was codified into three distinct operating divisions - Hotels, Property and Development. Each team has been expanded to support the significant pipeline of projects, including the new 750-bedroom dual-branded Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express hotels directly linked to Heathrow Terminal 4, the transformation of a redundant office building into a 300-apartment residential development project at Crawley and the opening of the landmark InterContinental London - The O2.

Surinder Arora, Founder and Chairman of the Arora Group said:

“I am extremely humbled to have been honoured at the Institute of Director Awards.  I am proud of everything the Arora Group has achieved, especially recently in this landmark year.  I want to give particular thanks to my colleagues, who have done a fantastic job in getting the Arora Group to where it is today as we continue to deliver the hallmark for a reliable end-to-end delivery of excellence in quality and service in everything we do.  At the next Arora Ball we are aiming high to beat the targets set in the previous balls!”
